Our Young Icons are presented with fun, yet challenging recording projects that encourage creative problem solving, teamwork, confidence, and growth. YI is led by experienced musicians and coaches in a professional studio environment. This is our 5th year and our curriculum is inspired by National Recording Artists "Jason Jet and Will White"!
2024 PROGRAMS
Tech Workshop
Music Fundamentals with Logic Pro is sponsored by United Way Greater Charlotte and starts on February 24. The workshop for ages 11- 17 continues every other Saturday until July 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is open throughout the program, and tuition is $149.
Summer Camp
Young Icons Recording Arts Camp for ages 11-17 returns! Join us this summer to learn about song structure, songwriting, studio recording, artist marketing, and music mentorship.

Young Icon's is where your teens creativity, songwriting, and stage presence abilities are challenged and developed in fun and exciting ways. Our top priority is to inspire recording artists and build their confidence in the natural ability to dream and create. Meet The Founders
Jason Jet is a national recording artist. He has performed at the infamous Apollo in NYC, The FIllmore and dozens more venues. He has also shared stages with the likes of Anthony Hamilton, Eric Roberson, Dwele and has even had a record deal with Interscope Records. At the age of 10, Jason was introduced to making music, which afforded him the confidence to break barriers in his own right. Knowing how impactful music has been for him and his career, he is excited about building our youth in an ever changing music industry.
Will White lives to create art. From his time at Howard University majoring in Fashion Merchandising to his employment Illustrating for Tyson’s Galleria in Washington, D.C., he’s always been drawn to the visual aspect of creation. Once he dedicated himself to the sonic representation of his gifts, things seemed to fall into place. So well into place that he went on to become a National Finalist on hit singing tv competition, American Idol (Season 12). As he continues on in his own career, he wants nothing more than to help the youth get their start. For this reason, he’s more than excited to be working with the Young Icons!
